The painting makes one feel as if they could reach back in time and touch her, or say hello. It is an incredible work of art. With only 30 or 40 works existent, you can image how much his paintings sell for - in the tens and hundreds of millions. There are 10 of his paintings unaccounted for. They are the Holy Grail of Western Civilization Art, and have been the subject of a number of forgery attempts. If you see a painting in a garage sale, of a young girl looking back at you from the 17th Century, grab it!

My inlaws actually have one of his signed works hanging prominently in their living room. I shudder everytime I see it...creepy, really.

Maybe I need to sell a few cars and buy one of these puppies. Sure would be less maintenence. Thomas Moran btw. One of his more colorful renditions. Boy these guys really ad lib'd with the american landscape, but who can protest the beauty? Before TV, radio, etc. this was how word got out about the unsettled american west.
On another note the sunset was spec tonite here in NM. Sapphire and tonny and good friends. Good to be alive.
