Thanks for your concern, but I did a little research before eating them. The variety I ingested was purchased from a reputable fungus supplier, so misidentification was not really a concern. They had pre-tested them and gave them the grade of A+.
They have quite a tradition, and I just wanted to try them for their historical significance.
They aren't really that hallucinogenic, at least not in small doses anyway. (Though, I never really noticed how wild that latest Gap commercial is.) The effect is somewhat like a less disorientating marijuana intoxication. Nothing like the red-tinted *buzzing* of other magic mushrooms. Interesting, but not really worth going out of your way for.
And I'll try to limit my Uranium intake to less than critical mass, thanks.
