Naw, I don't give a damn. I just like relieving the pressure from the self-professed professor's inflatable ego.

But I do cheer from the sidelines when somebody else gooses the boy.

This is a front that the US wants very much to be sustained because I don't see our president eager for a cease-fire. Hell he even contradicted Rice's "recommendation" after her visit to Lebanon. The issue here is that Lebanon did not deserve this destruction no matter how much YOU and guage despise those people.
In what manner have I indicated that I despise the Lebanese? I've nothing against Lebanon nor for that matter, against Hizbollah. Well okay, the marine barracks thing, but marines are combatants and that's the risk of being in the military--you can die. If I were a present or former member of the USMC I'd probably be enjoying the heck out of Israel creaming Hizbollah. But that ain't me and I get no particular pleasure out of any of it. That's not to say I am without a particular point of view: As I have clearly indicated I am generally on Israel's side. But Israel is not without warts and bumps and stupid blunders. IMO the chief one is their insistence on being a theocratic democracy. I think that is stoo-oopid and will be the source of continual misery for them, self-inflicted in some ways.

Israel is lucky in having enemies that are far, far more repulsive than they are in their own theocratic ambitions.

Perfesser, you might want to peek inside your own mind and consider your own motivations. Would you reveal them to us or leave us guessing?
