I accept the challenge.

The winner of the "great debates" of our time will be declared based upon the following criteria as demanded by members of this forum. Each is weighted equally. The score in each category will be calculated using the Olympic Decathlon method. A percentile rank versus the current world record. Spelling errors will be calculated as an inverse of this equation, of course.

1) fewest spelling errors
2) highest level of education
3) highest scores on standardized tests
4) Tie breaker: Annual taxable income

Just to make it fair, I will accept the following handicap...I will now make a typographical errro...there....done.

I still win.

Please register and vote a straight Republican ticket from this day forward. Thanks.

(Hey, you libs made the rules.)

Now back to global warming...I wanted to flee the 105 degree weather. But Tahoe AND San Francisco were cracking past 90 yesterday.

Damn you Al Gore for inconveniencing me!

Public schools haven't taught anything in several decades...thats why so few high school graduates are even ready for college.

But the left doesn't care...if they indocrinate one kid they count that as a victory even if millions get a worse education than you would get in North Korea.

This rings a bit of truth, I can vouch for this. Finally 79-300SD, we agree on something.

I certainly agree that many high school graduates are not ready for college. I don't agree, however, that this is due to 'leftist' teachers trying to indoctrinate the nation's children. It probably has more to do with restrictions on discipline and a curriculum that does not encourage or challenge students to be thinkers, rather, encouraging teachers to become cheaters in order to keep their jobs.
