I was just on FARK.COM and the question came up as to what the Worst Case Outcome was going to be for the MiddleEast "bump" in the road to Peace that is going on as we speak, type, etc. I added Best Case because there is a chance this could slam to a halt.
Let's hear the opinions, leaving out the powered dildos and stuff from the conversation.

the whole ME? wow.. that's too many pokers in too many fires..
right now i think we are seeing basically the worst case scenarios playing out.. Israel is attacking and looks to me like maybe trying to stoke up a war there and then Iraq is smoldering like a crack pipe.. the only way this all could get any worse, and it could, is if things break out hard in Iraq. if we leave anytime soon, they will. the other bad thing could happen is us doing something stoopid concerning Iran and Syria... we seem to be pushing it there.. i am also rather taken back by shrubs approval of israels invasion. i am a bit miffed that hammas hasn't opened up much but they will whenever.. i am sure.. things are gonna get uglier soon enough.
best case scenario? UN forces Israel to uphold all the reolutions passed against them over the years.. Iraq somehow simmers down or is split up (i really don't think that would set well with folks in the area either) and Iran and Syria just isolate themselves out of view.. not likely, at least in the case of Iran
Nuclear exchange between Israel and Iran. Israel may also see that now is the time to take the Iranians out first, before Iran finishes building it's first bomb. I think that is where things are headed right now.
I say we give the Jews knock-out gas one night, and move them from one shitty desert to another shitty desert out west somewhere. We'll tell them that the Arabs moved. Problem solved.
Oh wait, it's about what opposing Gods gave unto Their peopleses...
Religion is great. God is my real estate agent.
I was ticked that the US vetoed the resolution asking Israel to STFU. Sure they got a soldier taken hostage but could have gained tons of world grace if they had gone the diplomatic route and the US backed that.
If this moves over to Syria, I fear that it will put Iran in play pretty quick and then Israel either has Saddams chemicals to deal with or Iran and Israel move straight to Penalty Kicks.
I saw a news item a couple of days ago that Iranian techs were in N.Korea for the missingmissilemess. That can't have a good ending. Also, Fox today reported that missiles in Hiafa are Iranian.
My $0.03 [soon to be $0.04 adjusted for post $4.50 gas]
best case - they drop their weapons and realise that its not doing any side any good, and both live happily ever after.
worst case - Israel continues bombing Lebanon, Syria gets pissed and blows up Haifa. U.S sends help, that pisses of Iran who sets off a rudimentary nuclear device. That pisses of the US, and we see more mushrom clouds. Pakistan finally overthrows its puppet dictatorship, right wingers get hold of their very credible nkes, India shits it and faces off.
North Korea takes advantage and sees an oppurtunity to destroy South Korea, then figures it may aswell strike the U.S for its policy on it, Castro joins in and adds his two bits to the US attack, and wins as all of the US forces are actually in
other countries and no one remembered to leave any behind.
Blair makes a speech that no one listens to, the French are still smarting over their world cup defeat, the Germans are financially crippled from hosting the World Cup, and the Italians are still hungover.
actually the worst case scenario is beginning to look pretty damn good!!
