You're not really stupid enough to believe that statement, are you? You mean Harriet Miers? So if Ann Coulter calls widows of 9/11 something dispicable, it's offsides, but if she refers to the first female president of the Dallas Bar Association as "the cleaning lady" it's OK?

Please........

That quote is attributed to GW Bush, our fearless leader.

OK, so she was a tad more qualified than my plumber, but not by much. I'm sure the appearance of cronyism is pure coincidence, and Bush actually believed she was the most experienced and qualified judicial candidate available...

Okay, so Googling that phrase reveals that only one journalist is credited with that story - a complete nobody named Doug Thompson, for a complete nothing of a website called Capitol Hill Blue, both of which are stark raving mad leftist anti-Bush jism dispensers.

That piece of flop was then jumped upon by other left-leaning journalists, (none of them neutral or respectable), stepping further out on the flimsy branch that is this story by Thompson that is conveniently absent of substance or named sources (a la Stephen Glass).

What color is the sky in your world? If your avatar looks to you like an accurate facsimilie of Einstein, perhaps some of your own positions would make a little more sense.

I think I heard Dick Cheney breathing heavy on the phone while I was talking dirty to my girlfriend.

I didn't say he actually said it -- when it comes down to it I have no way of knowing whether he said it or not, but it was attributed to him and doesn't seem out of character (well OK -- the gd part might be out of character). Of course, I'm sure Jose Padilla would disagree. I know it sounds like I'm blaming GW for all of this fascist, expansionist bullshit, but I'm really not. Any and all elected officials on Capital Hill who initially passed the Patriot Act without even bothering to read it should forfeit their jobs. Likewise, all elected officials who empowered Bush to invade an impotent and non-combatant Iraq should also forfeit their jobs. See, I'm not prejudiced, I hate everyone.
