Sure, we could have stormed the building, but it's an underlying fear that we're trying to instill. We want them to live in fear. The bomb could drop anywhere at any time. We want to supplant God in the omnipotence/omniscience department.

Kind of like having unmarked police cars to catch you speeding. If police were there to actually help society in times of need, they would be visible. They would be bright friggin' orange so you could pick them out of the crowd. They want you to drive the speed limit because you can't see them. They could be anywhere.

Besides, they might have had the place rigged to blow for all we know. They want their virgins, remember.

The best part of all is, he did not die not knowing he bit the big one. Current report is that he was alive for a short time knowing his life is slowly drained out of his sorrow arse. So indeed he felt the pain.

Now, if we only publicly show we inject his body full of pig's blood so he won't go to Heaven for the 72 virgins, maybe other dick heads will think twice before committing atrocity against humanity.

Mexicans would love it, no need to trek across the Sonoran Desert to make it to the U.S.

Canadians already think they are Americans, so it would not be a big deal for them.
Still waiting for the answer to the post immediately before the rundown of oil imports. Whom would you mug? Your good friend, or the defenseless little old lady?

Don't know very many Canadians, do you?

Army Meets Recruiting Goal Again

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Army said Friday it surpassed its recruiting goal for May, marking the 12th consecutive month of meeting or exceeding its target.

Before it began the streak in June 2005, the active Army had missed its target four consecutive months. And even though results improved during the summer months, it missed its full-year target for the first time since 1999. The Army National Guard and Army Reserve also fell short of their 2005 goals but are doing better now.

The regular Army signed up 5,806 new recruits last month, compared with its target of 5,400, and the Army National Guard and Army Reserve also exceeded their May goals, according to statistics released by the Pentagon.

Nonetheless, eight months into its budget year, the active Army is barely beyond the halfway mark of recruiting its goal of 80,000 new soldiers. Through May it had signed up 42,859, meaning that in the final four months of the period it will have to enlist an average of nearly 9,300 per month to reach the 80,000 target.

Last year, the only month the active Army came close to signing up 9,300 in a single month was August, when it got 9,452.

The Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps also met their May recruiting goals, the Pentagon said.

Has the Army reinstated their more stringent enlistment requirements now? Last year they lowered them. Could this account for meeting the new (lower) goals?

Here's a few articles from last year about the lowered requirements:
