I have more passwords, H.D. encryption etc. I only have about 1000 personal records for my business, not 26+ million.
According to the news last night, the data had been downloaded to a laptop the moron employee had brought home in violation of VA policy and the laptop was taken in a home burglary.

If s/he is a typical fed bozo, then the information was left unencrypted on the laptop and probably not even a basic password to protect it. Duuuhhhh....

I am thinking that this mooron, should be spending some time getting VERY close to Preperation H, at the closest "men's country club"!!

It is crazy that these people just don't get it when they are potentialy F***ing with peoples lives at worst, and just the simple stress that this kind of news can have on people that have RISKED their lives for your Country and mine.

I know that Canada tries to do it's bit, but the reality is that the U.S. has the might, and the U.S. protects our freedom too.

I was in D.C. last fall, and had the humbling priviledge to see the various memorials paying tribute to those that had given the ultimate sacrifice. It was an AWE inspiring visit for me. I cannot imagine what those brave sould went through.

I hope that all leaders think before they act! It is easy to cast judgement on Bush, or whomever, the point is that it is just sick and stupid they way people the world over are prepared to loose lives!! wheather for Oil, Land, Religion, or greed.

Sorry for my rant! I just get kind of pissed, when I read about the waste of lives.

People who can't spell "moron" should use caution when calling other people such.

Interestingly enough, ny wife is currenlty consulting for the VA. She said her company worked on the business case for better records security a couple of months ago. Apparently the $ savings didn't work out, and her colleague indicated to the VA that the real case for doing it was to avoid being plastered across the front pages. I guess he'll be getting a call back soon.

Those veterinarians s think they are all high and mighty just because they risk their lives for both good and stupid causes for us.

This will teach them that their personal data can be stolen just like the rest of us civilians.

Ha!
