Oh man, Czech Republic 3, US 0. US vs. Italy, US vs. Ghana coming up. We better beat Ghana by 4 goals at least. Goes to show you that a #4 world ranking is useless when you get it by playing countries with populations under 2.3 million.

All hail the Sixteen Men of Tain!

Oranje still has to meet Argentina and the 18 year old star player. Today is Italy vs the US.

Have to disagree...I went to the game and the atmosphere was electric. The Fritz-Walther-Stadion on Betzenberg is a traditional soccer venue (kinda like Lambeau Field) and the US fans actually managed to out-buy the hardcore Italian Azzura for tickets, then out-fan them during the match. We had a golden opportunity when we tied the game and they had a guy sent off for a flagrant foul but did not know what to do with it, then got two guys sent off ourselves, but hung on for a hard-fought draw. Overall, a major rehabilitation from the first game. Now, we can advace with a win against Ghana, who will also be missing two of their starters due to double yellow cards. I will go to that game and report back, with a little trip to Berlin for Germany/Ecuador in between.

Cheers!

__________

Korea's Park Ji-Sung scored the equaliser against France's Zindane and Henry Therry.
Park was 'Man of the Match ' and is an exciting feeder/assistor to Rooney and Van Nistlerooy at Man U.

Keep your eye on him !
