1) all of this food looks like it tastes like watery meat juice.
2) all of this food looks the same.
and 3) more than a little of this food does look like vomit.

That doesn't mean the food is not good heh heh it just surely is not meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, pizza or a meatball sandwich! I think the desire to stick things in your mouth begins with knowledge of what, exactly, those things are!
But, if you knew what it was your mind might prejudge it. If I told you it was baby squid wrapped in soy lettuce this might might turn you off. However if you tasted it you would probably like it.

One of the earlier posters said that the Asian food served in America has been Americanized. True! To taste real Asian food in America go into any Chinese or Thai restaurant in America and ask the staff where they eat. Usually there are a few restaurants in every city that has a special real Asian menu, if only just for one or two sittings per week...sometimes just for lunch on Saturdays.

In a way the Thais do the same thing over here with farang food. Our local Pizza Hut serves pizza Thai style (scroll up to see the photo).

Bon Appetit!

Sure, I'd prejudge it LOL I not putting anything in my mouth that I cannot identify! Blame my Mother for that=P

No backsass or beef about it, tho-- I just have to be vocal about what things look like, too many critiques, maybe?

'FARANG' ..if you repeat it fast it turns it to FOREIGN, where it was probably derived from, but don't tell the Thais that.

Pizza Thai style comes with ketchup. Yuck..

You wanna see it before or after we eat it? Like when you get up real early for work after a wild night out. You wolf down your breakfast, and then put it all back on the plate. Did that only once......

Okay, a real one. This was what I made for lunch while I was on the island of Nevis for a few weeks. I's a cold cut plate with 2 kinds of salami, cheeses, pickel slices, and hot pepper stuffed olives. I washed it down with many of the pink drinks on the left, rum punch.

I think everyone knows that the China Buffet II is not representative of real Asian food--same as El Mexicano Real is not real Mexican food. However, the last bowl looks like puke. Sorry, I call 'em like I see 'em. I never said it tasted bad--just that it looked like puke. Furthermore, I am game enough to taste any one of those dishes.
