It's what we should have done in the first place. The George Washington of all radical Islamic fundamentalism, whether Sunni or Shiite was Khomeni, it is an idealogy called Pan-Islamism, and it seeks to unite all Muslims into a single nation, both Sunni and Shiite. Bin Laden and the Iranians are really just competing leadership factions for this extremely dangerous movement, which wishes to put all humanity under a system of religious fascism. The idea that Saddam and Al Queda were in cahoots, has always been utterly preposterous balderdash bullshit, while the idea he is in cahoots with Iran is utterly reasonable. Bush and Company attacked the Pan-Islamists' enemies in the Muslim world - the Pan-Arabist faction, the faction led by Saddam, whose idealogy was the formation of a secular Arab socialist state. This faction was very troublesome for oil companies, and if you don't believe me and want to see exactly why this is so, then just watch what is going on with the new Latin American socialist governments in Venzuela and Boliva, and soon to be Peru - they are nationalizing oil company assets and placing big taxes on oil company profits. Bush butt fucked the American people by hijacking the 9-11 tragedy, perpertrated on us by the Pan-Islamic faction, so he could pursue a war against the enemies of the oil companies, the Pan-Arabist socialists, who are simply not the enemies of the American people and never have been. It was not an "intelligence failure", it was a calculated, pre-mediated act of treason, by a crawling bunch of worms who wrote off 3,000 American dead and Bin laden's capture so they could pursue a course for their oil company masters, for Saudi Arabian oil fascists and American greed mongers who could careless about this country and simply wanted Saddam out of the way - so they manufactured a bullshit case against him, and using the emotionalism of the 9-11 tragedy fooled 53% of you to buy this horseshit.
And now what are we left with? A basketcase Iraq, and the same enemies we had on 9-11, who have done nothing but grow stronger while we have let Bush and Company bullshit us into this crap. Bush violated his oath to perserve and protect the United States, by prosecuting half a war in Afganistan and leaving Iran alone. Stop and think what the world would be like if we had let Saddam alone: we would have access to Iraqi oil, which we could have used to get thru the loss of Iranian oil, the number two supplier of oil in the world, while we utterly and catastrophrically destroyed Iran and Afghanistan on a scale with how we dealt with Japan. Now we will have neither Iraqi or Iranin oil. We will be unable to wage war against Iran because of this, and they know it. Bush has left us totally screwed. We all sit here and talk about Iran like it would be some re-run of Iraq - how stupid! It would require a WWIII effort, an effort we should have embarked upon on 9-12. We should have used a nuclear weapon on Tora Bora on 9-12, and told the Iranians they were next. This country should have totally mobilized for Total War, and instead we got war-on-the-cheap by a bunch of ulterior motive criminal motherfuckers who cheated their way into to office in the first place, a minority-vote government who got the big break they were looking for to destroy American democracy and replace it with a new corporate state. And 53% of you, you toads, helped them. This nation has been subjected to treason at the highest levels, accomplished by bullshitting a bunch of stupid yellow-ribbon bedecked morons who simply would not listen to reason as they were easily manipulated by utter propaganda, and now this country is threatened by Al Queda having access to nuclear weapons, and a suicidal fanatic who controls half the world's oil supplies having a nuke on the doorstep of Europe. What a brillant fucking plan. What a bunch of geniuses. And now your pride continues to blind you to these realities, unable to admit you were wrong in supporting this president in what is now obviously exposed to all as a fraud.
