, BackRoll, that this is you 666th post and a guy with the handle of Psalm31:15 should see and respond to it. Your logic is flawed, sir. Consider that you have a brain and it could be equally used for constructive plans & actions or destructive, evil plans & actions (like the evil genius of Adolf Hitlar). Does the possibility of such misuse make the idea of, "brain," evil?
No, obviously not so. A brain is neither good or evil of itself, but what its "owner & operator" utilizes it for. It is the owners responsibility and choice.
Consider sex as another example. Sex is a wonderful & beautiful act of joyful union when utilized within its proper boundries (marriage). But sex outside such a commited relationship always
produces (eventually) the "birth" of some negative consequence.
Such things are very very much like going through your front door and looking across the room and seeing a fire in your home
! A fire inside your house is a very bad thing.
Unless, that is, it's in a fireplace.. I'm not being clever - think about it. Do people refuse to use "fires" in houses (water heaters, stoves, fireplaces, coffee pots) because sometimes it is misused or very occasionally "escapes" from it's boundries? No. They very carefully work to utilize it within prescribed, safe boundries. Used thus it is good.
God has chosen to give you many "fires" sir, but the most powerful one is the right to choose
how you will use, or not, all the other "fires" that He has placed within you and around you.
Don't think you're not "worshiping" something
, RollBack, it's just something that's well outside the fireplace your Maker has provided (yes - The Bible) He hopes (I believe) that you'll choose to return to that fireplace, or finally choose to come to it for the "first time." P'3' http://www.billygraham.org/
