Wow! Just like Christianity is! Some day all of you will find the one true God, The Flying Spagetti Monster, who has meatballs on stalks for eyes! Yea, verily I say unto to you, pass the pasta please! All hail Pastafarians!

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

If you are interested - look up at the past, and .... the present ..... of the Knights Templar
I'm somewhat familiar with the Templars; the fabricated charges by the avaricious French (is that redundant?) king and the jealous pope. Also that the present day Masonic Orders claim a connection to the Templars, etc.

Speaking of Masons, have you ever read Kiplings, "The man who would be king"? Made into a movie starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine. The movie was very good but not quite up to Kipling's story.

Please everyone, read the gnostic gospels. The book could just save the world from itself.

It's the same basic story as "The DaVinci Code". Just the facts, though. Actual dead sea scrolls.

I have read the Nag Hammadi Gnostic texts, Barnabas, Thomas, and Mary. I fail to see your well-concealed point.

I once knew a gnome who was gnostic.

How fitting that someone should post my personal god, Spicoli, in this thread.

My point, not to conceal anything, is that the gnostic gospels show the man who was known as Jesus was just a man. A smart man, a philosopher, but JUST A MAN.

(GASP!)

It's true.

All the extrapolations and flights of fancy for the purpose of control are absolute bull. They have twisted what he said to fit everything into the fairy tale they have woven.

The book clears a lot of things up, that's all. It makes sense out of the screwy religion. Nobody then would have believed the crazy things that are taught now. Over time, it has become the fable it is.
