He told me to get my money back because the guy lied to me and if he doesnt tell him you will call the dmv on him or the IRS, he believes the guys buys donation cars, clean them up and sell them for more. Angry

This happend before when I bought an 1989 Caprice from my friend and he told me that he rebuilt the trany and engine about 45k ago , the engine was rebuilt, but the trany wasn't, it was a scrap trany from another craprice that he threw on, the trany was shot in a week when I was doing 85mph, for some reason the tranny couldnt hold it. My other friend who was a mechanic told me all this when I took the car to his shop. I was pissed and came after him, we all most broke into a fight till his GF made him pay up all the 3500 I spend on the car, I was gona make it a Lowrider, but I guess not!

For a $500 car, what did you expect. You should have changed the timing belt right away. If you get stuck with it and can't find a motor-look for a same year mitsubishi precis. it's the same car.
Good Luck!
