Summary - basically stating that the 10 year recession in Japan Inc is finally over etc etc -
but hidden at the end of the article was an interesting bit....
"Just as it gets back on its feet, Japan has begun dying. Literally. This year, for the first time, Japan's population will likely decrease. If this continues uninterrupted (Japan does not have a pro-immigration policy to offset native decline), there could literally be no Japanese in four centuries."

Only think of two things - the gun and the tape. When you hear the one, just run like hell until you break the other. .
I think they are on the right track, if they let their population dwindle to about 20 million they will have plenty of elbow room and open land for the size of their country, after that statistically 2.2 off springs per couple will keep the population steady.

Except that their population is already exceedingly top heavy - worse than anywhere else in the world. Japan's Dependency ratio (that is, nonworking young and old compared to working ages) is already a big effect.
They have an older population with a significant percentage at, or near retirement.
So there are more people dieing per year than are born.
