How to tell apart a boiled egg from raw egg?
Place the egg on its side on a countertop and spin it, then give it another spin
Let it spin for three seconds, then place a finger on the egg briefly to stop it from spinning
Lift the finger off the egg; if it resumes spinning, then the egg is raw.
shaking the egg to hear a sound inside really won't help one determine the difference and will promote early deterioration of the egg.
The uncolored leftover eggs in the fridge not used from my daughter's Easter Egg Hunt turned out to be raw. For remembering this tip, I was spared of ending up with goo on my hand - I had assumed the egg was boiled and was about to crack it open.
go ahead, let your imagination run wild regarding "goo on my hand" comment above (in 500wds or less).
