RE: Another Bushite Scandal in the making. Who would have thought.

My post did not blame Bush for this guys crime. It blamed Bush for developing a infrastructure like the HLS that DOES NOT VET EMPLOYEES that are in high level security positions (number 4 in HLS has high level security). It is the nominating of incompetent people like Brown and Chernoff that Bush DID do that makes this kind of event possible at this high of a level. If they can't check on their own people to insure they are safe, how can they check on the rest of the world.
When I did contract work for three different agencies I went through 7 months of background checks to get a level of security that is two down from these guys and they talked with people I had not seen in 20 years. I had character tests, lie detector tests, blood, drug, damned near every kind of test possible for two years of contracts and if I imagine that if I even had looked at a child porn web site the world would have crashed down on that background check.
Man, were you ever right on this - I just saw a news report that this creep was fired from Time magazine for doing his kiddie porn thing on their computers - in other words DHS would have been totally aware of the fact this guy was a child molester, and they hired him anyway. I'm sure if it is looked into a little more, one would find out he got his job the same way Arabian Horse Breeder and incompetant asshole Michael Brown did - by paying a "campaign contribution". This administration is corrupt from top to bottom, and their corruption threatens our safety. This perv could have easily been enticed and blackmailed by our enemies. How many more child molesters and other assorted criminals have jobs in this administration that they bought with bribes? What other crimes and perversions were ignored as they handed out jobs to their political pals?
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
