That is a large, colorful, cock isn't it? I wonder if it has a place in the new kitchen? Jim

He prolly keeps it away from the knife block.

GS, are you a bachelor? I only ask because there seems to be an abundance of masculine colors (not to mention the giant cock) in your kitchen.

It looks really nice, BTW. I especially like the flooring. My kitchen is about 10' by 7', but I can dream.....

Yup -- just me, my daughter and the pup. The old kitchen had pink walls (painted before I moved in), and was done in white and gray, as you could see from my initial post. Perhaps I overcompensated, but I do like dark colors in big, bright rooms. The kitchen is 25' x 18' and adjoins a 25' x 30' great room with a 10' wide entry way. The 25' great room wall adjacent to the kitchen is actually a single 10' high window that looks out at the mountains a couple blocks away, so the space is very bright.

Glad you like the floor, sometimes I wonder if it's a bit much. In fact, even though it looks indistinguishable from red and gray slate, it's actually porcelain.

It does look nice, GS.

I'd like to see the tiles laid on the floor in a diamond pattern, instead of squares, and black/grey grout would really help with clean up! Seal it ASAP, if you didn't heh heh

No overcompensation--the walls are light--I just thought the cabinetry, countertops and flooring were masculine colors. It all works very well together.

The 25' window sounds awesome.

I thought about gray grout, but chose to match the tan in the floor in an attempt to lighten it up a bit. I know it's a bit too light right now, but it should be just about right a few months down the road. I also did my entryway in the same tile to tie it all together.

You seem to have an interest in big cocks. Here's a picture of me playing with mine:
