Cyclone Larry

Well guys, Cyclone Larry is heading for the Queensland coast at 35km an hour - now 400km away.

It's now a cat 4 with winds up to 300km/p/h and due to hit about 5 - 6 am tommorrow.

Expected to be cat 5 at landfall (stronger than Katrina) and affect up to 100km inland due to it's destructive force.

Aimed to hit some 500km north of where I am but the warnings have been issued for our area as well 'expect power failure, high tides and strong winds of up to 200km/p/h', cloud and wind has already started.

My house is rated to cat 4 so should be OK but lots of trees about which may decide to lie down.

Might not be around for a couple of days - we haven't had one this big since the mid 70s around here.

RE: Cyclone Larry

Best of luck to you! You're going to keep your W126 isolated from the elements?

Larry sure is a funny name for a Cyclone [:D]

Take lots of photos. You'll be amazed how many people will benefit from that.

PS I'm from Louisiana, about 1/2 way between Katrina's path and Rita's path.
