Loss of teachers

Dozens of teachers resign amid cheating scandal. A growing scandal over teachers who paid to get credit for courses they never took has cost nearly three dozen educators their jobs, and hundreds of others are being investigated.

In both Georgia & South Carolina a number of teachers were found to have purchased Masters Degrees. Both states admonished the teachers but let them keep both their jobs and the pay raises they received when they claimed their masters. Of course both GA & SC are in a bitter battle to see who can be #50 in education in the US.

RE: Loss of teachers

I think the beginning of this new century will go down in the annals of history as the "ethically challenged" age.

Not only have we had numerous crooked, high profile CEO'sand whatnot but also prominent authors, chiefly this "million little pieces"guy, and now the DaVinci Code as well?
Whither morals?

Of course this is a gross over simplification but people being sheep will take their moral tone from those in power,if the guys in the White House say one thing and do another,If they get caught in their lies it must be alright to alter facts for personal gain,or to just take the easy way out, very corrosive environment we live in.

That happened in LA on what's called the PRAXIS test. It is an instrument used to qualify teachers who wish to become administrators. Huge scandal. Lots of administrators got booted completely out of the school system. Whoever it was that got the scoring sheet made a bunch of copies and sold them. The buyers then made copies and so forth.

Don't you love it that cheaters become school adminstrators?
