Is hate losing popularity?

Only a few hundred turned out to view Slobodan Milosevic while he lay in state in Belgrade. Thousands were expected to view the remains of the man who was on trial for crimes against humanity. Could hate be losing steam? The neocons in the USA are not fairing too well right now either.

Don't underestimate the lazyness of people. Nor the popularity of hate. Sometimes one wins out of the other.

GW is on display to the world as the finest American on the planet (why else would he have been elected president?). The rest of us obviously pale in comparison. I feel embarrassed.

I hate popularity.

Also, any mass killer whose name can be contracted to 'Slob'.

You are correct of course. Because only the best and brightest were even nominated by their parties. Then the two best Americans were selected to run for office.

The American public bears responsibility for the entire process, as well as the outcome. The U.S. President should be the best of us. If he isn't, why the hell did we make him president?
