My favorite part of that dubious slide show is how the trucks seem to jump backwards and fly into the harbor like R. Crumb's Mr. Natural who has just heard an implausable tale.

You know what's weird though? If it's Photoshopped, it's obviously done by someone with more than enough skill to put the people back in.

RE: Washing the Mercedes Towtruck : )

My sympathy lies with this nice looking, for all we know, hardworking truck and it's operator.

Larger pictures have circulated for some time now in recovery circuits, and they reveal that the truck was doomed already when lining up. Ask anyone used to lifting boats in and out of water. Not using the stabilizer legs correctly reveals that the person conducting this operation lacked the necessary crane skills. The grip is also very risky, three parts should be a minimum. Or maybe a totally different approach. Could someone have borrowed the truck to get their own car up from the water, or something similar? Maybe someone let the boss go out alone?

At the very least, there is now one more person in the UK that now observes the laws of stability sort of strictly.

Does anyone know the fate of the truck?
