you know it has to be a great show when one of the characters name is " Big Pussy "
...who/that gets a good whackin'

I haven't been able to catch the last two seasons. [:(]
I'll just have to wait for the series to conclude and then get a DVD box set.

RE: Sopranos new season

and one more thing about the Sopranos is that the promo poster by HBO always hint at what's going to happen during the series: which way the characters in the poster are facing, with whom they are grouped, etc, etc, etc...

I wonder what this season's poster is suggesting...

Um...is A.J. 18 yet, 'cause he looks quite nice this season.[:P]

BTW,did anyone catch the first episode of Big Love after The Sopranos? I fell asleep and missed it. Can't say a plot centered around a polygamist is especially appealing to me, but every show put out by HBO has been great so far.

RE: Sopranos new season

Jillian: Big Love started a bit slowly (no pun intended)- all the permutations of a polygimist and his three brides; I was afraid HBO was missing the boat 'til about the second half. Bill (Bill Paxton) and two of the three wives, Nicki (Chloe Sevigny) and Barb/"Boss Wife" (Jean Tipplehorn)go to "the compound" which is inhabited by the real hardcore element - and it's leader is "The Prophet," played real oilily and to great effect by Harry Dean Stanton - and he's Nicki's father. Bill's dad (Bruce Dern) maybe being poisoned by his mother (don't know the actress' name, but the character seems crazier 'n 40 barrels of ratshit). If the second half is anything to go by, I think it'll be an alright show. I truly think the Sopranos, the Wire and Deadwood are as good as most movies and better than anythng else on the tube; don't know if this will reach those heights, but hopefully it'll slot in their alongside Oz & Six Feet Under. Check it out.

Last nights episode of Sopranos: Is Tony dead? Maybe. They said that all of major players except one would be killed off by the end of the season/series.

Big Love is big lame. Not in the same league as Sopranos or Six Feet Under. Shame...
