RE: are you a material girl?
they left off the watershield whenever they replaced her belts? mine does it too, but i left off the watershield over there on the passengers side lower quarter. lost the screws, actually heh heh
itll catch you by surprise, wont it? hahaha i kinda like it, though. theres this dip in the road 3 houses away that fills with rain. if im in the neon, i steer to it and by the time i am home, i am announced by my leon, and if i am lucky... i get to turn the steering manually and use my manly arms=)
the windows are a bitch, but ask ANYONE with a hardtop(any brand at all) about them and theyll let you know how they feel. i even got the power versions.... this is why i got a 240d with manual windows and automatic, actually. after 7 years of shifting, i was done
my father still bitches at me to this day about buying a hardtop(mine is a coupe too, 98 model) because i cant get the damned adjusters right.
youre right on that account, though. even the dealers cant do it correctly.
i am still interested in your w211, though[}:)] how many dealership visits? come on... we want to know.
you do know that you can make a gasket for the taillights to prevent the leaks, right?
youre talking about a car that cost $9,999 *1994* dollars(starting) do you honestly think they can put the same thought into it that mercedes does?
naturally its going to be less of a car. but its virtues far outweigh its shortcomings. especially considering pricing.
my leon was 14, 16,500 out the door with extended service contract. for that, ive spent appx 1000 more on other items and repairs for the car. its got 140k now and still gets around 35mpg.
i wouldnt hesitate to drive it to nutz' house for a bbq.
a grand and a half a year, plus insurance and fuel. that aint shabby.
