Best book you've read recently
Okay, for those of you who read something more complex than OT posts...how about some book recommendations?
Unless you really feel it's necessary, don't toss in any spoilers!
(And for those of you who don't read anything except political crap (either way), please don't bother with such recommendations here. The rest of us don't want to read it anyway. [;)])
Okay, enough with the prefatory comments already!
Here's the first two...
Derailed by James Siegel.
Excellent book, couldn't put it down (although I honestly wanted to a couple of times; it was pretty disturbing at some points). This is the first thing I've read by this author, but it won't be the last.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon.
Also excellent, more of a thought-provoking book, though. I won't give away the obvious thing that stands out, let's just say the first-person account is from an unusual perspective. Great idea, nicely written, definitely a little on the quirky side.
