ever tried to report a reckless driver to 911?

Just do not waste your time anymore...
Called them this morning to report a guy that overtook me on the emergency lane and started cutting off others (quite a hazard, everybody had to brake hard suddenly). Called 911 right away, but they kept me on the line long enough for me to lose track of the guy. And then it was too late anyways. Am I supposed to start following like crazy and create a similar hazard? Forget it.

I had trouble talking to them when a driver waived a gun at me a couple years back. I had a description of the driver, a tag, and vehicle make and model.

Useless.

Apropos.

Research suggests that traffic bullies are under-represented in accidents. They certainly cause more incidents than they're involved in.

Called the local police and they fwded me to CHP. Left it from there, it was a Mazda 6 that cut me off and made a right onto the 91 fwy. Got her plate quickly.

Making a left turn with another car (double left turn lanes) beside you never was the same again, she nearly sideswiped me. Luckily my peripheral vision took notice.

RE: ever tried to report a reckless driver to 911?

well they are good here in AZ about getting people. i called and report a drunk driver, they fly by me doing 80mph in a 45mph and i was cursing at 60mph so i was shocked then they cut me off, and at the next light got in the left hand turn lane and i was like ow well ill just let them go. But the light turned green i started to go and they turned from the left turn lane i am in the far right lane and pulled right infront of me and i had to slam on my brakes and they sped down the road and i was like ow heck no. i floored it caught up and stayed behind them called the cops and 1 1/2 blocks later i had 1 cop car and 1 suv cop with a total of 3 police officers and 1 attack dog and the basically said thanks and they would handle it from here.

I hear if you want to get back at a reckless driver take down the plate number and report them to your states motor vehicular department and say their car was spewing out smoke and the exhaust smelled-like oil and then the have to take their car in and get it inspected.

Citizen's reports have no legal value. At least in CA. Some agencies can do a warning and some will simply ignore it.
I canceled my cellphone years ago and live happily since.
Had couple of instances if road rage over the years and belive me, those guys don't watch what you hold to your ear. Just picking up glasses cover, or battery pack make them taking next exit

RE: ever tried to report a reckless driver to 911?

911 pshawwwwwwwww....

I like to push little old men and soccer moms out of MY way at the grocery checkout. Some of them are really SLOW.
Sometimes I wave at them in thanks, sometimes I give them the finger.
Frankly, if they allow enough room between them and the person ahead of them, I assume they won't mind if I barge in front of them. Some of them fall down, or have to slow down in order to avoid my ass, but that's their problem. They left a space.... fuckem.

Really, I'm too lazy or incompetent to allow enough time to get where I'm going, so screw any ahole who dares use the (road, checkout line, sidewalk) when I am obviously in a hurry.

I'll probably knock your 60+ yr old mother or grandmother down at one time of another. If she's in my fucking way.
