I don't know -- I've noticed an inverse relationship between IQ and post count (except for TK, of course [:p]). I don't think this is worthy of celebration. [:(]

I'm putting it out there because so many people say the economy's doing great, also because the article contains a number of facts that were new to me.

So there [:p]
Reading the real news is not strong part of US citizens. Who can blame them? So much money to spend, so much food to eat, so many car models to choose.
Lot of them are also surprised, that US, that has been famous for generations to be #1 in economics is placed 11-th in Index of Economic Freedom.
Even Estonia and Singapore beats us.
I don't complain. My wealth is based on borrowed money and investing it.
So in short, when I borrow money at 6%, invest it and wait with 10% inflation - I am earning 4% doing absolutely nothing.
Still seeing people losing jobs, cars and being forced to move to places like Arizona, or Texas is sad.

I couldn't agree more, Kajtek.

Now GS, let's have a party anyway. Jilly can provide refreshments, she's supposed to be showing me the rope(s) anyway. Get it? Rope? Hemp? [xx(]

Yes -- poor, slum-ridden Arizona -- it's just one giant trailer park. Thank goodness I got me a double-wide.

Hey man! Everything is worth celebration.
I was born Polish.
Polish like to celebrate. For some just the sunset was a good excuse.

Nothing personal about Arizona. I like to go for vacations there. Actually Horseshoe Bend is my most favorite place to visit on Earth.
Just ...I love water-sports and the waterfronts there sucks.

Ok, Y'all seem to be on the good, or at least the better side of this PROBLEM.. I on the other hand am on the SCREWED with no lube, and no GREEN LUMPY Hocker on the back of the neck side... I'm going into forcloser, can't find a job ( close to 2 years now ) not for not looking... I've lost my phone, So even if people wanted to call, they can't.

I blame it on Reagan, He de-regulated all the power companies, he de-regulated all phone companies, He de-regulated all cable companies... I do beleave he also gave a royalties terif treaty to all gulf coast oil rigs (if I remember correctly), which equates to MORE $$$ and that can let them CHARGE more per barrel... Also, the US tax code allows taxation only up to $300,000. So those that make $400,000 get $100,000 TAX FREE.. So yes, the rich get richer... And that's how... Also since Reagan DE-regulated airlines, they've been fucking over the unions that support them... Look at Alaskan Air, they've been haveing nothing but problems since they fired their UNION support companies....

I also blame the voters, those that vote their religion, insted of the REAL inportant things... These people think this country was founded by Christans... It wasn't, it was founded by FREE MASONS, a group that beleaves in all religions.

I also blame the schools, most students asked about the amendments of the constatution know little or nothing about them... This country isn't educating our children about the VERY RIGHTS that are given to us...

Meheh, government should only be about infrastructure and defence. Not bed rooms, marrage, abortion, drugs, etc etc... Only laws that should be in effect are, laws against Murder and Theft... You can save a LOT of tax paier $$$ with just that.

Not sure about you but I pay much less for airfare and telephone service.

The power industry is far from deregulated and the parts that are degrulated are due to state legislation. The power industry very much follows a stanlist model.

Love the fact that Reagan fired the arit traffic controllers who were illegally striking. He did not take shit.

Now back on topic there were some interesting point stated in the article. Some of which contradict what I have read elsewhere.
