Are Bush Supporters ready to admit Iraq was a collossal mistake?

As Iraq collapses into total civil war, is any of our Bush marionettes ready to admit that trying to impose "democracy" on this fractured society in the fictious country of Iraq has become an utter failure?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11491483/

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Of course not. They are still playing the 'believe me, not your lying eyes' game. The recent news from Iraq - dynamited Shia shrine - is our cue to get the fuck out of Dodge, rather than referee a 5 million-a-side gunfight. But you can bet we'll get instead more 'stay the course' pablum for the terminally deluded.

Can you give us anything besides "nope"? What is it exactly that we have gained here? What made it worth the effort?

Nothing was gained by this or most off-topic posts...

Had each of us a crystal ball which would predict what would happen, then we could criticize. Regardless of our political and ideological views, what would we have done different in his shoes? Now don't use hindsight here...

Collossal mistake? I don't think so; however, I do believe it was the wrong execution of the right idea...

Debate here is often worthless, but sometimes entertaining. It was refreshing to see you post something that was not a "cut and paste". I was beginning to wonder if you could have an original thought. No offense intended, but you certainly are the king of cut and paste, "not that there is anything wrong with that" (sorry Jerry Seinfield).

I think 3000 of our kids dead because of a pack of lies would fall under "collossal mistake."
