It may not be the lack of bathing, but how!
That's an effective flea bath, just FYI

RE: Question on bathing...

I'm thinking that it may be their tradition of bathing once a week or once a month, because their hair looks (and is) greasy. It's not curry or food that we smell, but a very strong rancid perspiration odor (BO). Maybe like our colonial cousins who took their "Saturday night bath", dad first, mom next, then the kids. All in the same water! No wonder the best perfume is French. They need it strong. I've been in a bus in France in the summertime. Sick...

RE: Question on bathing...

I went to school with a kid who was indian and never cut his hair because of his religious beliefs forgot what you call them. anyways someone was talking about him saying he always smelled bad because it was against their religion to take showers, i dont know if thats true or not but i never smelt the kid sine i never really knew him. But the main thing that makes people smell bad is bad breath, so many people dont brush in the morning and dont realize how bad they smell. bad breath can stink up a room and even smell worse than a fart.

I know my question will bring the "TROLLS" running, but this is a genuine question that many of us have at the company where I work.
My wife and I work with many Indians (from India) since we work in the IT field. Most of them smell really bad. We are always in small meeting rooms and the smell is really, really bad. Since our company lives by a motto of encouraging "diversity", the human resources department will not address this fact even though the complaints come in daily. Is it a cultural thing not to bath regularly? Is it a religious thing? We work with these people so we can't ask them. Do any of you know about this? [:(][xx(]
I hear ya! Its really tough b/c close to %50 of the engineering students in the computer labs are of Indian descent(Its really hot in there btw and I'm there for hours[xx(] ). I dont know what causes it though. But my good friend's roomate is Indian, hes a great guy, fun to hang out with...its just there is a smell even my roomates air purifier cant handle...

If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

You got a point there. In Varanasi, one of the holiest Hindu sites, pilgrims gather to cleanse their body and soul by immersing themselves in the holy Ganga.

Imagine a bathing scene like this:

In a water like this:
