It could be, but that's one company I would not buy direct stocks in...

But according to KV we can't grow enough corn & beans to supply fuel for Houston.
Maybe obvious question, who is KV?

The answer to our energy is not one single source such as ethanol. It is going to be everything:electric, ethanol, hybred, diesel, hybred/diesel, B100, B85, BioDiesel-hemp, BioDiesel-FrenchFry, BioDiesel-Hemp, gasoline, Hydrogen, Hank's propane, Methane and things we have not looked at yet. Until we look at the entire spectrum as the solution and not try and pick one, we are going to continue to go in circles.

McBear,
Kentucky

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.

I'll tell you what I think. The world could easily be thrown into greater conflict in the near future due to shortages and disputes over water rather than crude oil.Sugarcane, cotton and rice require vast quantities for propagation and there are NO substitutes.
Ed Zachary. One example: Finite water in the Middleast and north Africa and an expanding human population.

"We will only find the solution when it's really urgent," he says.

And there you have it. The need is not great enough yet, apparently.

RE: The Future

Prof Karni

""One of the big problems with solar energy is that the energy is very diluted," says Prof Karni, "it can give you a suntan but not much else."

There is a solar powered device which copes very well with the low energy density of daylight-it's called a leaf.[|)]
