RE: Asking for permission to riot
Shabah - 2/12/2006 3:01 PM
GS, I don't like injustice anywhere! and I told you that I felt bad for him but what goes on in Iraq is another ball of wax. This has more leverage since it is tied to decisions made by governments to force their ways into the lives of millions. What you have here is a sample of what could happen anywhere if we close our eyes and regionlize (I made up this word) injustices that can become the mode of operation even in your country once you and your government had build tolerance to such through general acceptability...
This is far more scarrier and has a deeper impact on all of our lives.
How about the other side? have you asked yourself why we have terrorism? Did these terrorists wake up one day and say I want to aspire to be one? There had to be a driver, this is an example. What do you think those kids are thinking right now as they nurse their wounds? Peace and love????????
Condemning these actions is one thing -- suggesting that "rioting" is an appropriate response to injustice that occurs beyond the confines of your own borders is another -- it's ludicrous. Please elaborate on the benefits and logic of rioting. A simple outline form will do nicely.
