RE: confusing traffic lights?

That's why in Europe, where they have lot of multi-streets intersections they make circles.
No lights required and everything moves smoothly....

till American tourist rent a car there...

RE: confusing traffic lights?

i personally think roundabout are the stupidest things in the world, i would rather take my chances at getting stuck at a red light then to have to slow down to take a circle lol. And everyone knows American cars cant turn they can only go strait or a slight left curve like a nascar track. Just think what would happen if 2 hummers entered at the same time the would get stuck.

Ick we have one out here that is in the middle of a highway. Its INSANE and I think that the insurance companies should consider it a free-for-all zone. I see an accident there a couple times a week.

The people who design roads here are in love with the roundabout. The number of close misses Ive had, and better yet a new law the other day came into force that you have to signal when going off the roundabout. Thats ok on the bigger ones but on the small tight ones with a car my size man what a pain.

I'd happily trade with you. I love driving in the UK because of roundabouts. You actually get to keep moving. In the U.S. it's generally a matter of driving from one red light to the next. And when stopped, all cars get zero mpg.
