Bravo: Museum of Tolerance

A $150M project sponsored from the US in Israel to build this museum of tolerance right on top of a 1000+ year old Muslim grave: http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article344233.ece

Did I hear tolerance or that's an oxymoron? Should the Muslim riot or fall inline and obey "the man"?????

Again, let me be clear I am not going to make excuses if shit hits the fan again but this constant prodding and pushing of the envelope because you think you can do so is getting a bit old. What's the excuse to demonize, steal property and disrespect the dead or the living? Maybe because they are Muslims they must have done something wrong and must have deserved such treatment, enlighten me..........

I have nothing worthwhile to say about this, but I will say that my favorite museum of tolerance is the one in South Park.

As urban areas become more and more populated, it's not uncommon to see cemeteries uprooted (so to speak) and moved to other areas. Land is precious and the dead rarely object.
I have a gut feeling that there is more to the story. Often these monuments are built on the guise of good faith to the community and the next thing you know, half of the land is being used for Hymens Yarmulke World and Ahmed's Delicious Falafel's.

I do not like the word tolerance because it does not imply acceptance, merely the the fact that you will"tolerate"your neighbors, just as you would tolerate bees and mosquitos buzzing around your ear.

I think the term "baby steps" was coined with the middle east in mind.
