Last i heard, Top Gear was no longer on TV. BUT... last night they had like a 4 hour marathon of it! Any ideas when it will be back on a routine basis?
Let me know

I understand they are making a US version. The only problem is it will suck. They just do not seem to grasp what makes the show so popular. They will not have the current hosts but use some bunch of losers and film in AZ or someplace.

ugh! it will be like "the office"??? Wow, the original BBC version (I have the DVDs) is awesome, the US ones are just lame[:(!][xx(][|)][V][B)]

You are right they are making a US version with different presenters.....although they couldn`t find anyone to replace "The Stig..!"
Apparently they couldn`t use Clarkson as he is too forthright in his opinions about well.....everything really and not least American cars. Too be fair he now re-owns the new Ford GT-40 and he was pretty complimentary about the Chrysler 300.
Of late he has even taken to being nice about Vauxhall (GM)cars!
Still at least you get HIS opinion rather than that of the manufacturer`s marketing department. It would be a shame if you lose that in the US version.

I love that GT-40, one of my favorite cars.(190E is king [:p])

I figure ala Coupling and Location, Location, Location. In both of these cases the networks completly missed the point.
If I want a review of a car I will pick up a magazine. At least that way I get the technical info infront of me. I watch TopGear more for the staff than anything. I could give two shits about the Jaguar X-type wagon. But Jeremy & the rest of the teams comments and antics make the segment worth watching.
