I believe the item is called "Duct Tape". Please don't use it on ducks.
Yes, you should be using your plastic 6-pack rings on ducks, not tape. People C'mon!!

RE: Another use for Duck tape...

wow is it really duct tape? was i duped and they used a less brand called Duck tape lol... after further checking i realized at home i have both DUCK tape and duct tape. after testing the duck tape is very cheap and doesnt stick well like the orginal duct tape. Thank god they used the cheap stuff or my car would of crashed if it didnt break.

Yea i bet it was a liberal who did that to my car, must of been that comment i made to the save the environment people when they asked me to sign a petition. I told them i drive an SUV you guys are full of lies to trick people into giving you money.

RE: Another use for Duck tape...

This thread reminds me of the horrible "comedy" show "The Red Green Show". It's one of those tragically written Canadian comedies that gives all Canadians a reputation as a total yokel. We're not all from northern Manitoba. In the show duct tape is used for repair in every situation but one, they can't fix the script.

Now if you excuse I need to motor down the promenade to inspect knock-kneed layabouts with my monocle.

Freude am fahren!

That's that duck tape is for, actually.

Tape it over their mouths, stops 'em from lying.

Since we're already off-topic, I'll drift a little further and add that it is in fact called "duct tape". So named because that was the use for it's original design, sealing joints in ductwork. Previously (and particularly in heating ducts) they often used ASBESTOS wrap. Thanks, I'll take the duct tape. [:)]
Starting a few years back they began making it in various colors, and I recently saw some clear duct tape in a home depot, that just strikes me as odd.
For those who care, here's a link to 3M's pages about the clear duct tape: http://www.3m.com/brands/scotch/tran...ape/index.html

With ducks they are not referred to as beaks generally,hence:-

"A duck walks into a pharmacy, and asks for a condom. The cashier says, "Cash or check?" and the duck says, "Just put it on my bill."

Two old ladies are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a smoke, when it starts to rain. One of the old ladies pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts it over her cigarette, and continues smoking.

Maude: What in the hell is that?

Mabel: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet.

Maude: Where did you get it?

Mabel: You can get them at any drugstore.

The next day, Maude hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms.

The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely (she is after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what brand of condom she prefers.

"Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel."

The pharmacist fainted.
