What path GS? the whole friggin humanity is lost anyway...
Those cartoons were used as a weapon of mass hysteria knowing full well what it will bring forth. They tried it the first time but no traction because no one was paying attention. If it was just cartoons then it would have stopped right there, but nooooo, they had to publish it again so it achieves the “artistic shock it intended in the first place.
They knew full well how it will be received. GS, some people are really looking forward for a clash of cultures and civilization. This is sadly turning into them against us….
It is just a cartoon. If you are offended and take it seriously, that's your problem. What does a cartoon have to do with the harmony of your household and your work? What does a cartoon have to do with your health? What does a cartoon have to do with the achievement of day-to-day happiness in your life? What does a cartoon have to do with anything that's truly important? I'll tell you what -- absolutely nothing. If an entire culture can be driven to hysteria by a stupid cartoon, what does that say about that culture? Try from now 'til doomsday -- you cannot come up with a cartoon that will impact me in any way for more than a few seconds. Can you guess why?

Well, not entirely, but that's probably a factor.

I understand what you are trying to say, but it's not the mere fact that it is a cartoon. It is a depiction of the Prophet which in itself is considered blasphemy. It does not matter if it is a cartoon or an image, it simply is a big no no…
Personally it does not bother me but what bothers me is the fact that it was published with the intent to rub our noses into some shit like saying we are terrorists, our religion is and our Prophet is behind every misery from these acts… That’s were the distortion is. Like merouby mentioned earlier, it looks like one bully tried it now every other asshole who wants to beat up the kid will try again while pretending that he deserved it because he was crying…

Secular versus Nonsecular. Not much room for compromise.
