how low is too low(lowball offers on used goods)
ive found a gasoline full size to replace the neon. the car is having fuel system problems and we have just tackled the exact same issue on our intrepid(crank sensor was bad-- wouldnt run hot)
this car is doing the same thing-- its an 85 model 500se and theyre asking 1500. i wont pay that for a car of unknown mechanical condition.
i am going to take 700 bux with me and see if they bite, but how would youall go about it?
last time i just paid what they were asking for my diesel and i shouldnt have. the car had problems that i had to repair immediately and they brought the total up to around 2100 v. the 1800 it was advertised for.
i dont want to insult the girl, but we're talking about a 21yo german lawn sculpture for all intents and purposes. it is in decent shape, but nothing is excellent about it. it is dirty and she apparently didnt want to pay for the repair herself, or she'd still be driving it, no?
so do i look it over and then discuss price? do i lay my cards out right at the beginning and just not play games?
i know its mercedes themed, but help a guy out.
