Huge difference between 110 and 150. I know for a fact that here in Iowa you would be in deep shit and YES it would be a huge deal if you got caught at that rate of speed in my town.
No he wouldn't.
All the cars sold in last teen years have limiters. The highest I know about is 125 on sport cars.
My ML is 115, friends GMC van 100 MPH.

Not sure about BMW, wouldn't suprise me, the spedometer on my eclipse went up to 170, the car would never go that fast stock though.

Ok enough about that car, I'm having seperation anxiety. Longest I ever owned a car, had it for a little over 5 years.

I had my 928S4 up to 165 on the clock and it felt very stable, but boy does shit go by fast at that speed. Here,if you double the speed limit in any zone you get a mandatory suspension I think. Our motorways are 70 mph max and when I worked in Chertsey,Surrey I had a 110 mile round trip commute on the 'road to hell'(M25).Every single day I doubled the speed limit at some point, but there were very few cameras until recently.

Anyone know the limit of a 190E, fastest I ever got it up to was 95mph...although definetly not a good idea b/c it was with my snow tires[:0]

If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

Is it original car? Did you calibrate the speedometer?
My 99 E320 wagon has limiter at 125, GPS confirmed.

My old '91 190E 2.6 got up to 110 once and it still had a decent amount left. It was steady as a rock too. I'd peg its top around 125-130 in good running condition.

Haven't had the C over 100 yet.
