RE: News Item

I wear glasses. I don't like the concept of putting my fingers in my eyes to wear contacts. I'm thinking of Lasik surgery sometime in the near future.

last march i turned 25or so, so i was removed from my fathers insurance plan. mother made the mistake of giving me a blank check, so i went straight to the most expensive, heaviest metal frames i could. theyre somewhat stylish, but i was making an attempt to get a set of frames thatll last a few years in both quality and style.

these frames are VERY sturdy(made in austria by dior) and have a high quality double hinge and no earpieces to fall off in the future.

i did get buyers remorse for my parents-- ive never spent that kind of money on a wearable object before!

and jilly-- youre a weirdo if you think glasses arent hawt.

i have some black plastic sunglasses-- exactly those that have been posted here as well. theyve got yellow lenses and look good in a geek chic sorta way, especially on a boy with well groomed facial hair.

the soul patch is also very sexy.

It's amazing how blind I was--I had no idea.[:I]
hahaha, yeah, I know the feeling... You just wonder around all your life, then all of a sudden, you can count the bricks of the house across the street, or read the numberplate of the car in front of you. When I first got mine, I was stunned by the amount of detail that was visible in the world... amazing!

anyways,
I'm wearing Silhouette Eyewear:

RE: News Item

since everyone is marveling at how wonderful glasses are and all...

i have to say that i hate to wear them! i am amblyopic, or have a lazy-eye in my right eye, my left is near perfect, so i rarely wear them, usually keep them in my manpurse so i can hunt them up if i get pulled over since as a technicality, i am supposed to wear them.

another reason whyever i hate people jaywalking on my right side when i am trying to enter traffic travelling right! i have a blind spot.

as a bonus-- ive never had a car with a perfect right side hahaha not that i dented the merc, it was dented when i got it. the neon got punched by a cop(yes! and they refused to pay for it!!!) right above the fuel door on the back passengers side and the *one* car i actually did dent on that side was my taurus, ralph.

i ran him into a rather large camillia(our state flower--and theyre fixing to start blooming again!!) bushish tree and scraped the bottom rocker on the heavier stumpish branches down there(i was parking it)

i'd say a plaid skirt with a jacket in the most prominent color of the plaid(tan) with a white button down shirt. the suspenders should match the trim color in the plaid and the kneesocks should match the body color and jacket.

do the flippy straight hair thing and put a pair of handsome blocky shoes.

exactly how i'd dress if i were of the fairer sex. except i'd wear houndstooth more than plaid. and lots of sweater vests(are these out of style again?) i'd surely have a pair of chunky mary janes and an angora sweater too.

i once saw these angora booty shorts, do a web search on them.

RE: News Item

In 1995, I threw my glasses away and had Radial Keratotomy (Done by hand by a very skilled doc with a scapel).

RK, though not performed much anymore, is a method that takes better than the modern Lasik ® laser surgery.

It's the best thing I've ever done and it took the first time. I needed no re-enhancement surgery. He was even able to moderately correct my astigmatism in the left eye.

I recommmend it. You will go through about 2 weeks of pure hell with the light sensitivity and burning. Homeopathic 'Allium Cepa' takes care of the burning pain.

NOTE: For all the doobie smokers out there, keep your glasses and don't waste your money. Marijuana reverses the effects of the surgery. [:(]
