RE: OT : Should I have kids?

Thanks all! I do really enjoy hanging out with my nephews and nieces. I guess it would be cool to have a few rug rats of my own., even if in 14 years they become like Asianml and spend all their time on Benzworld! [:D] j/k! I'd be lucky if they turned out like like him! [:)]

RE: OT : Should I have kids?

bobocod,
Everyone has summed up what I was going to say. I will just say I never knew what a blessing having kids would be. I actually had to step out of racing to make time and save the money. 10 more years down the road I can jump right back in and still have the wonderful memories of being a papa.

So...my wife - who has always been a career woman (makes more momey than I do) - has started talking scary.
More "mommy" than I do? Freudian slip? hehehe.

RE: OT : Should I have kids?

With my first daughter I got my wife to the hospital with 10 minutes to spare. Wifey gave birth to a perfect baby girl! Almost born in my first Mercedes.
She is now 16 and thinking of her first car. " oh my God, I gotta have a Mercedes"!!!!

FYI It scares me that she pretty much picked her own mod for my ML last year...LED side mirror covers. It was her X-mas present to me and I had them installed last week. She told her friends that I had implants installed on my ML.

Then again,,,,,she's my little MB princess!!!!

You could always go the vasectomy route. I've given thought of it, in case I'm ever married and my wife tries to decieve me.

RE: OT : Should I have kids?

Don't even think twice. I would rather have my 5 year old daughter than any supercharger. I didn't even get married until 35 so I had a lot of adjusting to do. I was kind of stuck in my ways, I still am but there is always room in a couples life for children... I would rather hang out watching cartoons with my daughter or playing with her than anything else in the world.

True success is being the master of your own time.

RE: OT : Should I have kids?

Hey Boco!

So the wifey wants kids now!! Congrats! My fiancée always talks about having kids and if I want them and the "mere" thought of it scares me! (she would be talking about the future, that kind of sappy stuff [:p]) But here is the bigest thing that my parents never thought of when I was a baby...BEGIN saving now for college, yeah they (or he/she) might not go but you will have the money saved up! I think it is a great idea for you to have kids! Maybe the wife will become a stay at home mom and you can put on the pants of the family!!!! [}:)] Just Kidding!

RE: OT : Should I have kids?

My daughter is an 8yr old red head, the myths are true, they are certainly a breed on their own. She is my little princess and she also likes to wrestle and be a brat from time to time. (just like her dad)
Life changed for the better when she was born and every day is an experience.
The first time you hear the words "you are the best daddy ever" will be the proudest day of your life.
They are only dirty little smelly poop machines for a while, once they get past that point and can whipe their own buts and fix their own food the diaper days are well worth it.
Their is nothing better than being a daddy.
