LOL Actually 2 Benzes and a Lexus [:0]
OMG. OMG. OMG.

You are moving from Arkansas to Brooklyn.

Do you even KNOW what you're doing???

Yikes.

Of course, NYC is safer now than when I lived there.

But still. Arkansas to Brooklyn. Yikes. [:0]
I was going to tell him to view The Blackboard Jungle first but it seemed a bit dated so my only other reference would be that horrible Tom Berringer flick or Kotters Sweathogs. I also suggest you lose the drawl. It was great on Clinton but he had 16 Secret Service agents to watch his back. Here, practice this, "What are you looking at?" It is enunciated as a single word. Try again. "Whaddyaloogginat?". Perfect. You get a gold star.

RE: do you like this hat and scarf?

LOL

Yes, I know what I'm doing. 10 years ago I wouldn't have even thought of Brooklyn - or any other borough but Manhattan itself, and even then only in the village or midtown. Now though, I think anywhere but mid-bronx or Jamaica Queens (possibly Bed-stuy or Bushwick too) would be decenylt safe, but even those areas are cleaning up pretty fast as well.

Kinda depends on where I end up getting a job. I am also licensed for NJ so if I were to end up on the west side of the Hudson I would probably move to Maplewood or Hackensack or maybe even down around Asbury Park on the shore. Although one of those nice little new communities like Cranbury look good too except there could be a commute problem if I were to work near NYC on the Jersey side. I suppose I could always work more central in NJ but I really want to live in the city itself or on the NJ side of the city. My partner really likes Jersey or up the Hudson valley where we could have a house with garages and yard - things I really don't want. Probably just wait til I interview next year to figure it out. But I am not worried about Brooklyn and that is my goal area to live and work in.

I have very little drawl unless I want to exaggerate it then I can pour it on thick. My partner however is from North Carolina and is very southern.[8D][8D]

"Partner"... oh you're THAT guy...[8D]

I'm less worried now as I assume you have no children to look out for? Is that right?

Forget Bushwick though. That place'll NEVER be safe!

Palisades in Rockland County is nice and a quick commute.
