I would love to see the Civic Si beat my ML. If I can't beat it, I'll just run it over.

Your ML? If i remember correctly ML320's aren't built for speed or handling, and i bet the new SI can beat your ML

Whatever, the new Civic SI is one sweet car, can handle better than most any Mercedes car, is 20 grand cheaper, and just cuz it can rev higher and go faster than your mercedes doesn't mean you have to hate it [:(!].....

The one thing i don't like about some people on this forum is that they "hate" hondas because they're just as reliable as Mercedes and cost less to maintain.
There are certain admissions you must pay to truly enjoy a motor car.

Now that's just plain silly. Hondas are vastly more reliable than Mercedes, and everyone here knows it.

That is, for the last several years. [:0]

I am sorry benz420 but "sweet"is not a reason for someone to bye a car.In my opinion it is boring and i really don't think that can handle better than most MB cars.By the way,you are driving one of the most beautyfull coupes ever made.Who is going to remember this civic after 15 years?Nobody! But yours?(ok,you paid a few grand more!)

Not a big fan of Honda as a whole but I wouldn't mind a loan of an NSX.
I think the CRV is a decent little SUV. It may not be great off-road but how many SUVs are there out there which never leave the tarmac?

i still want to know how tall the rear seat passengers can be in this new civic.

i drove one when i was shopping(97-98 model years) and my head touched the ceiling.

it also cost too much for what it was. si 2 door for almost 19k!

just too much for a wee tiny car with what, a 1.6?

That's strange,
the only new style civic we know over here is this one:

I went to look at one at the dealership. Although they are a bit to futuristic for me (especially the interior), I think those are good cars. Nice quality feel, good ride, very nice engines (1.8 140hp and 2.2 i-cdti 140hp), and easily fully loaded.
They are a bit pricy though.
I wouldn't buy one, but they're ok to see rolling around in the streets.

When I took a seat in the back, it were good seats, but on the roof right where your head is there is this 'structural bar' or something that comes like 5 centimetres out of the ceiling. I'm not tall (180cm or so) and my head touched the roof when I sat straight up.
These cars aren't made to carry al lot of passengers. (Nice bootspace though!)
