RE: Chrysler Aspen (2007)

ok, whos idea was it to call the cls sedan a coupe?

its not a coupe.

i have no idea if 4 door coupes were made classically, i have no interest in figuring it out, really.

a coupe only has 2 doors. it is designed as a 2 door car from the beginning, but i do think they can be derived from a sister sedan as well.

but then is that a 2 door sedan?

the vw 1200 in the garage, is that a 2 door sedan or a coupe? is the 2 door neon a sedan or coupe? i know its a hardtop because of the no window frames thing, but does *that* make it a coupe instead of a sedan?

nevermind.

Ummmm, yeah, that confuses me too. But IMO calling it a 4-dour coupe sounds better then calling it a sedan. IMO, the styling of the CLS makes it look more like a coupe than a sedan.

Personally, I prefer the term sedan over 4-dour coupe. The latter makes me feel like I am riding in a hearse.

RE: Chrysler Aspen (2007)

ive never liked the cls and i wont start now.

its not very original. looks like a benz sedan mixed with a boxter mixed with a jags dash.

maybe i just havent looked at it enough and i am sure it needs to be driven to be appreciated, but the few i have seen on the street and all the images i have seen have kept me from liking it.

the coupes i like are usually tiny little 4 cylinders(i am one of the few that liked the 203 coupes) with rev happy(but not modded) engines. i also like the last road king coupes like the mark 8s and the eldorado coupes. it may be that i am an extremist, though[:)]
