Mercedes on eBay

After Chevy & Ford, Mercedes is the most-common car on eBay. WAY out of proportion to its representation in the marketplace. What does this mean?

I have noticed this.

I think there are many older Mercedes that have been taken care of and still going strong compared to others makes. Of the other cars how many are 10,15,20,30 yrs old on ebay?

Oh. That's an excellent point. There's a big market for older M-Bs, esp since the new ones are, um, what's the word I'm searching for?

its seems like most of them for sale are relatively new so maybe they are selling them before warranty ends. i know the longest car my family has had was 6 years old and had 51,000miles on it we avg a new car ever 4 years.

I depend on nice people like this to eat the biggest part of an automobile's depreciation. Thanks, Jim

RE: Mercedes on eBay

Most cheaper cars are "drive till they die", higher end cars retain more value and are worth selling or trading. Also MB drivers are a pita and they want everything brand new and on a silver platter.

Present company excluded, of course.
