RE: I guess I'm gonna loose

Razz,

I've been following this thread ever since it popped up on New Year's Eve.
I withheld from commenting since I have had none of the experience you have described and thus there was nothing useful for me to say.

However, I am prompted to urge you, like many who have done so before me, to brush up on your writing skills. You can't keep on running away from them. Asking for help at first is fine but learn to rely on your own. The skills you acquire are something that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Despite all the comments on your poor mechanics, you are still posting here with cringing spelling errors. Start using a spellchecker as noted by some members - use it when you post on this forum as a practice. I know you are trying to get yourself out of the hole and we're all rooting for you, but I sense that you are still avoiding some issues to truly address the heart of the matter.

It is my experience from being involved in construction administration that those who did the talk but was never able to substantiate their claim (by issuing clear correspondences in timely manner, for example) turned out to be least reliable.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you are not trustworthy, but to people who don't know you who are about to grant you a loan, you need to present yourself as someone with rigorous standards and responsibility who will not squander the loan, and one sure way to make that positive impression is in good writing skills.

Good Luck, and we're all with you.

I keep warning you guys, and you keep putting your foot in it. A tow-truck driver does not need good writing skillz. [|)]

he he,

but why succumb to stereotypes?

Once I worked on a job at Harvard, the name of the demolition company on the job was "Oedipus Wrecks."
Run by a former English major at Harvard, they were stellar performers.

Only in Cambridge...[:)]

But a tow truck company owner sould have more than basic writing skills... Which I realy don't have even basic writing skills... So everyone is right...
I can run a company, just can't get the right words to express myself with on paper... Hell I avoid words that I can't spell... Oh, and spell checkers only work well when your realy close to the ball park on them in the first place... I normaly get a selection of about 50 words that aren't what I need..
It took me almost an hour with Websters on line dictionary to find the word possessive... 50 searches later I found it... Spelling isn't my strong point... Never has been, never will be.

If y'all want me to stop posting due to my poor spelling... I will, I don't need spell nazi's making me feel worse about my stuation, and my inability to spell... What I NEED is somone that's good at writing proposals... I just need a few more facts, then I can justify my expenses, and pruve that it'll be a good company, by showing call counts for the past year...

Razz, take the good from here and ignore the rest. Don't let it bug you. It's just a bunch of people with too much time on their hands.

If they really wanted to be spelling or grammar nazis, there are hundreds of other posts they could focus upon.

Oh dear, now I've gone and ended a sentence with a preposition.
