RE: Being generous pays off
the city is fine but i much prefer the country.
usually when i am in the city, i have an almost accident, get asked for a cigarette and/or money and in general just feel rushed.
the country is green and secure from the city types of folks, but then you have natural predators to deal with-- dogs that dont come home, things still get taken, etc etc.
id pick the natural predators, tho. i dont like the feeling of constant unease the city gives me. its akin to chronic heartburn.
'did i lock the car?"
' i didnt leave anything expensive in it, did i?"
'call the pawn shop, i bet theyve got it!"
its nice to be near everything, all the life, all the culture. but its far nicer to sit under a tree, enjoy the thick country air and smoke a fucking cigarette without being harassed and/or fined.
