Chalk Up Evidence for Another Bush Lie
It seems our President really has no difficulty lying at any time, and probably all the time. The recent revelations of his wiretapping and spying on American citizens without warrants goes back to 2001, yet Bush blatantly lied to the American people during the last Presidential campaign on that very subject. This one sits right up there with the "I did not have sex with that woman" lie, except, in this case the lie was about how he is trampling on all of our Constitutional Rights. Which is a bit more meaningful to me than where he spews sperm.
Here is a quote from Bush on the campaign trail from April 20, 2004:
"Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires -- a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we're talking about chasing down terrorists, we're talking about getting a court order before we do so."
That was absolutely untrue, and he knew it at the time, yet it slid off his tongue to avoid the truth coming out and hurting his campaign, which is purposefully misleading America by blatantly lying to us. A few days ago Bush personally admitted to personally overseeing and repeatedly authorizing the wiretaps without any court orders, multiple times, all the way back to 2001.
The man is a fucking liar. He should be impeached. Jim
