Passed on the Beemer after all the comments and just ordered a 05 Mustang convertible in Mineral Grey with Parchment roof and interior.

I like the German cars but the upkeep and maintenance has been murder.
Why did you order one when there are so many for sale on dealers' lots?

And how does one order last year's car? You must have not meant "ordered"?

RE: Looking at a BMW 325,

Not a big fan of the Pony. A dime a dozen. I hope at least you ordered some nice wheels. Everytime I see a 'Stang all factory modded out and then those little skinny shopping cart wheels, a little gastric juice elevates from my stomach into the esophagus burning my throat oh so much.

No that's a Lime-borgini. In German, Der Pansywagen.

edit:
Unless your talking about the old Cougar XR7, now that was a cool car!

I don't know what your budget is like but...
consider a '95 SL500. A real head turning convertible sports car. Many around at great prices. Much, much nicer car than the 325. [^]
What a generic cop out. A 'Stang? You could've had an SL500 and you chose mediocrity. Good, at least all the chicks won't be checking your ride out, they'll be checking us Benz drivers out. Are you blonde? [8D]

RE: Looking at a BMW 325,

Ordered because the dealer I went to did not have the color I wanted in stock.

Picking it up today. Whoo Hooo! Oh the SL is nice but I'm sick of waiting for parts, not having a warranty and having to pay through the nose for things as basic as fasteners.

I haven't seen the new body style convertible on the road out here yet. I'm guessing they will soon be fairly common. Club track day anyone?

RE: Looking at a BMW 325,

Nothing wrong with a Mustang. Congrats. BTW, you mention something I feel is often overlooked regarding ownership of high end euro cars that are out of warranty. Repair shop rip offs. I feel these crooks are slowly shooting themselves in the foot for the blatant overcharging they do regarding repairs to Benz, Porsche, etc. They decrease the resale value of the cars and make the cars much less desirable.
