Car thieves are getting desperate

It seems with all the new innovations in vehicle security you will need the actual key to start it.

RE: Car thieves are getting desperate

One of my friends knows someone that went away on vacation and came back and found the cars where gone. They no longer leave their car keys out... dont learn the hard way hide your keys but dont hide them too good that you lose them.

I hate car thiefs. Back in the early 90's, my parents had a 420SEL. Somebody stole it and it had all my toys in the trunk. [:(]

Well most people are moron enough to leave their key in the ignition. Oh yeah remeber when they had little box where it had magnet on it so you can hid it in your wheel well. or somwhere under your car body. Not a good idea

Twenty some odd years ago had a '77 Corvette stolen out of the home garage. Got all the guns in the gun cabinet too. Strangely enough got the car back two days later with no damage. It was parked less than a mile away in an apartment complex parking lot. The police found it.

Cannot believe that you were reading the Hobart Mercury!!!

First, it's a Murdoch publication. Second, you wouldn't line the bottom of a cocky's cage with it!!

RE: Car thieves are getting desperate

Owner stupidity is still the thieves best friend.
A hidden ignition wire switch is still one of the best and cheapest deterrents around. Most car thieves don't care about alarms alone. The car is gone within two minutes anyway. Stealing the very expensive cars? They car jack them at red lights to avoid complicated systems. [:(!]
