it is so small and light, and it has a full size keyboard!
dont kid yourself-- use one before you go thinking its a real keyboard.
its about as full size as the toyota t100 was[:)]
if that doesnt make any sense, it means that its really about 3/4 the size of real keys. with absolutely terrible key travel. ive had my ibook for going on 3 years, one logic board a year(mine is the last g3, same spec as the newest, but without the slot load drive or quicker g4 processor) has had to be replaced on it.
apples are not more reliable hardware-wise, the software more than makes up for it.
i, myself, am waiting for this dual-core g5 to make its way into an imac. i prefer the all-in-one approach apple takes with its consumer line--theyre *almost* as powerful as the professional line, but without the high cost.
who needs expandable cases whenever it has usb 2 and firewire?
my machine is an 1800 g5, 1gig memory, 2x 160gig disks, 17" flatscreen, dvd burner,bluetooth,802.11g, firewire tv tuner w/ remote. its hooked to my surround receiver with fiber optic cabling for better sound.
it functions as well as any appliance ive ever owned and takes the place of seperate television, dvd player, monitor and computer.
you know... i try pretty hard to be cool but when its all boiled away, im really just a big frootie nerd[:p]
